This is the first year of an organized Bolt Action Championship. Players are able to participate in local and premiere events. Points are awarded for various results and actions. Awards are presented at the end of the season.
Dice Hosers are still negotiating with tournament organizers, however, our aim for the first year will be five premiere tournaments: Ottawa, Kingston, Oshawa, Burlington and London. You can also score points by attending local tournaments that have registered with SOBA.
The season will run from October 1st, 2024 to September 30th, 2025.
Our hope is that Burlington will be the end of the season where the SOBA awards will be presented.

A player must be registered prior to a SOBA scoring tournament to receive SOBA points. There will be two scores, Primary and Secondary. The Primary is scoring from tournaments themselves, while secondary is for achievements such as playing tournaments in multiple cities.
Players earn points based on where they finish (10 to 1 points for top 10 placements).
- 10 points - First place
- 9 pts - Second place
- ...
- 1 point - Tenth place
Should there be fewer than ten players, the maximum score equals the total number of participants, and the following places decline as usual.
Each player receives additional points for every ten participants at the tournament:
0 - 10 attendees: 0 points
11 - 20 attendees: +1 point
21 - 30 attendees: +2 points
31+ attendees: +3 points
Each player receives additional points for the number of games played at the tournament.
1 - 4 games: + 1point
5+ games: +2 points
Each player receives 3 points for attending a premiere event
The secondary scoring is separate to Primary points. Participants earn points by hobby and participation.
